John Kingston


Jacks interest in cars goes back to his childhood, encouraged by his father who drove a Borgward Isabella Coupe.

He has restored a number of old cars,owned a wide variety of classics, built and raced his own Lotus Elan and has built and flown his own aircraft. He has also owned a Car Restoration Business in the past .

In 1984 he launched the Limerick Classic and Vintage Car Club which is still in operation today. He is a member of the Historic Racing Car Association and competes in sprints, hillclimbs and races.

With like-minded enthusiasts he has been attending historic race meetings and events abroad for many years.

Qualified as a Design Engineer from the University of Limerick Jack worked in the aircraft safety industry . He also holds a degree in Technical Writing and has worked in technical illustration.

He is currently Managing Director of Display Signs and Print, a company he formed 25 years ago.

Jack currently lives in Limerick City, is married to Dorothy and son Sam is studying Science at U.L.
